True, there are a few months to go before the spring of 2014 settles in, but we just couldn’t help commenting on the leading trends of the fashion catwalks for the upcoming spring/summer 2014 collections. For all we know, there is one clearly defined, yet astonishing blockbuster; the see-through clothing items. Most of the leading designers have chosen them as a leading motif in their collections, no matter whether we are talking about the everyday clothes or the official evening dresses. Apart from the clothing items, we need to point out that the trend covers the accessories as well – bags, shoes, the transparent wave has covered virtually every item of the women’s outfit.
Let us take a closer look at the see-through clothing. In 2014, the long summer skirts will top the charts pushing back the short ones to spot number two. A quick peek at the top fashion collections shows that designers are betting on the transparent skirts in various shapes and types: airy, high-cut, straight silhouette or with a deep cut. In terms of textile and fabrics, the most preferred ones would be the organza, the chiffon and the rest of the transparent materials. Their advantage lies in the fact that they underline the feminine expression. The lining will play an important role too. The see-through dresses go well with a short top, a see-through blouse or a caftan; all these combinations are very stylish and extremely sexy.
With regards to the evening dresses, we need to point out that the see-through fashion will definitely prevail. The designers have come up with plenty of original and stylish models in different variations: dresses with a straight silhouette, ones with deep necklines or dresses with plenty of ruffles. The transparent fabrics look magnificent if combined with lace, velvet, embroidery or decoration stones. The two-layer dresses will also be very popular. They are composed of two parts – a thick lining, which can vary in length and a long transparent top. They combine very well with sandals, high heels and hutch bags.
