You don’t have to buy expensive skin care products and masks, when you have all the necessary ingredients at home to make your own, natural facial mask. Avocado and yogurt are great skin moisturizers for dry skin. Avocados contain vitamin E and other natural oils. Choose a ripe avocado, peel it, remove the seed and place it in the blender or food processor with four tablespoons of plain yogurt. Blend until the mixture is smooth. Apply the mask to your face, avoiding the eye area. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes and rinse with warm water.
The yogurt not only hydrates and softens your skin, but it also exfoliates your skin, removing dead skin cells. Another facial mask you can try is made with banana and yogurt. Peel one banana and place half of it in a bowl. Mash it with a fork and add four tablespoons of plain yogurt. Stir the mixture until smooth. Apply to your face, leave it on for about 10-15 minutes and wash your face with warm water.
For a quick-fix facial mask for your dry skin, you can mix two tablespoons of honey with two tablespoons of milk. Apply the mixture to your face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. After that, rinse off with warm water.
When you mix a homemade facial mask for dry skin, you should use it soon after you make it. If you’ve made more than you need at the moment, keep the rest in the refrigerator for up to a week. Do not leave facial masks on any longer that recommended. While you’re waiting to remove your facial mask, you can use that time to relax, read a book or listen to your favorite music.
